The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Canada is proud to announce the Keynote Speaker for its upcoming event on May 30, 2024 at the Park Hyatt Toronto.
Mental health advocate, champion of gender equality, and author, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, will be featured in an exclusive Keynote Interview at the inaugural Summit where she will empower the audience to move forward on a journey of mental wellness and self-awareness.
Grégoire Trudeau’s Keynote takes place on the heels of the release of her first book, Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other, where she shares with readers the knowledge, tools and stories that will help people be better equipped to deal with the obstacles they face in their daily lives. The book also includes personal stories from her career as a speaker and television host, and her time as the “de facto ‘first lady’”.
Following her Keynote Interview, Grégoire Trudeau will take part in an exclusive book signing for delegates at the Summit.
She was named the first National Volunteer for the Canadian Mental Health Association in 2022 for which she still sits in that role today in addition to being an ambassador for Fit Spirit. In 2018, Grégoire Trudeau received the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the United Nations Association of New York. She is currently a Youth Leadership Global Ambassador for Plan International Canada addressing inequality and emotional literacy of young people from all walks of life.
